About the 802.11g Wireless Turbo PC Card, PCI Adapter, and Access Point

The 802.11g Wireless Turbo PC Card and PCI Adapter are compatible with a Type II or Type III PC Card Cardbus slot or PCI slot of any standard laptop or desktop computer. As a Plug and Play device, Windows 98SE, 2000, Me, and XP will automatically recognize the 802.11g Wireless Turbo PC Card, PCI Adapter, or Access Point and initiate the installation process. Upon successful installation, the 802.11g Wireless Turbo PC Card and PCI Adapter will be able to communicate with other U.S Robotics home and office networking products.

The 802.11g Wireless Turbo Multi-function Access Point can connect a wired Local Area Network and one or more computers that are equipped with a 802.11g Wireless Turbo PC Card or PCI Adapter. The 802.11g Wireless Turbo PC Card, PCI Adapter, and Access Point are also backwards compatible with all 802.11b 11Mbps wireless products. The 802.11g Wireless Turbo Multi-function Access Point is connected to the Ethernet backbone through an RJ-45 connector. The single 802.11g Wireless Turbo Multi-function Access Point wirelessly provides multiple data access multiple desktop or laptop PCs within the effective range.

802.11g Wireless Turbo Multi-function Access Point LEDs

PWR LED: The red PWR LED stays lighted to indicate the system is functioning properly and flashes during the self-test on startup.
TX/RX LED: The TX/RX LED is lighted amber when the wireless system is ready and blinks when traffic is being processed.
WARN LED: This LED slowly blinks green when an unauthorized user attempts to use the 802.11g Wireless Turbo Multi-function Access Point, and rapidly blinks green when a firmware download is in progress.
