    Windows Vista 32bit Installation Files - Version 338
    1. Download and extract the 5699-Vista-x86-v338.zip file to a temporary location on your computer's hard drive.
    2. Select Start, right-click Computer, select Properties, click Device Manager and when the User Account Control prompts, click on Continue or enter proper authorization to perform this action and click OK.
    3. From the Device Manager window, double-click Other Devices, right-click PCI Simple Communications Controller, and select Update Driver Software.
    4. Select Browse my computer for driver software. Click Next.
    5. Browse to the temporary location where in step 1 you extracted 5699-Vista-x86-v338.zip on your hard drive, click Next.
    6. When Windows Security prompts, click Install.
    7. Click Close.
    8. Close any open windows.

    Windows 2000 installation files
    This file only works on computers running Windows 2000 with the 3CP5699A PCI modem. Double-click the file in Windows Explorer and it will prompt to self extract all files into the folder named C:\USR. You will need 954Kb of free space on your hard disk dirve. Direct Windows 2000 to the C:\USR folder when prompted for drivers. This file should not be used with any other product.

    Windows Me installation files
    This file works only on computers running Windows Me with the 3CP5699A PCI modem. Download this file to your hard disk drive and double-click the file in Windows Explorer. The file will self extract to a folder named C:\USR. You will need 964 Kb of free hard disk space. Direct Windows Me to the folder C:\USR when prompted for drivers. This file should not be used with any other product.

    Windows NT installation files
    This file only works on computers running Windows NT with the 3CP5699A PCI modem. Double-click the file in Windows Explorer and click the Setup button to run the installation program. You will need 2.02Mb of free space on your hard disk drive and Service Pack 4 or higher installed. In the Modem Setup window, click the Install button. This file should not be used with any other product.

    Windows 95B/98 installation files
    This file works on computers running Windows 95B/98 with the 3CP5699A PCI modem. Double-click the file in Windows Explorer and it will self extract all files into a folder named C:\USR. You will need 959Kb of free space on your hard disk drive. Direct Windows 95B/98 to the C:\USR folder when prompted for drivers. This file should not be used with any other product.

    Windows 95A replacement file
    This file should only be used to install the 3CP5699A modem in Windows 95 version A. This file will update your existing drivers for use with Windows 95A. To check your version of Windows, right-click on the My Computer icon and select Properties. Windows 95A will have a number listed in the "System" section as 4.00.950 without any suffix letters. After running the Installation Essentials CD-ROM, but before physically installing the modem into your computer, run this file and then continue the installation. If your modem is already installed in your PC, remove it's settings from Windows before running this file. Check the Device Manager for a possible Other Devices category containing a PCI card listing. If the PCI card is listed, remove it. Also, in the Device Manager, look for a Modem category and remove any entries listed under it that are not in the system. Restart the computer to install the modem.
