To determine if your 2884 is properly installed and configured in Windows XP, follow the steps below.

1. Click Start and Control Panel.
2. Double-click the System icon.
3. Select the Hardware tab, and then click the Device Manager button.
4. Click the plus sign (+) located just to the left of the Modems line.
5. Double-click USRobotics 56K Voice Win Int. The Properties box will appear.
6. Select the General tab. The following screen will appear:



The status of your modem will appear in the Device status field. If your modem is not listed or if your status is not verified, click Troubleshooting and follow the instructions.
