This USRobotics User Guide uses scripting to display its information correctly. This browser either doesn't support scripting or has scripting disabled. Please refer to your browser's documentation for instructions on how to enable scripting.

Additional Software Installation

For your convenience, The USRobotics Installation CD-ROM provides optional software that complements your modem, including the following:

Instant Update automatically notifies you of any available updates for your modem's firmware.
Internet Call Notification enables the V.92 feature, "Modem On Hold", which alerts you when the modem detects an inbound telephone call.*
Phonetools/Winphone software lets you send and receive faxes and is included as an optional piece of software for your convenience.

To install any of these programs:

Eject the USRobotics Installation CD-ROM and reinsert it into the CD-ROM drive.

If the USRobotics Installation CD-ROM does not start automatically, start it manually as follows:

Windows Vista—Click Start > Computer, then double click the CD drive icon.
Windows XP—Click Start > My Computer, then double click the CD drive icon.
Windows 2000, Me, or 98SE—On the desktop, double click My Computer, then double click the CD drive icon.

If prompted, select your language and accept the End User License Agreement.
Select Software.
Select the software that you want to install.
Click Install and follow the on-screen instructions to install the software.

*You must subscribe to Call Waiting service with your telephone service provider in order to use the “Modem On Hold” feature.
