1. Locate your access point. Launch your current U.S. Robotics Wireless AP Configuration Utility. Double-click the Access Point in the Available AP list. This will launch the Web Configurator. Log in. (The default User Name is admin with no password.) 2. Click Tools. 3. Click the Browse button adjacent to the Firmware Upgrade section to locate the new firmware file. When you locate the USR5450_153b10.bin file, click Open. 4. Click the Upgrade button to begin. After the firmware is updated, you will see a "The device is restarting" message. Wait approximately 30 seconds before you click Back on the Web Configurator page. Note: If you are upgrading from 1.41 firmware, your custom settings will be saved. Skip step 6 below. Note: If you are upgrading from any other version other than 1.41, your settings will revert to the default values. Since the access point is at default settings, its IP address may change. This will prevent access to the web configurator page after upgrading. Perform Step 7 and Step 8 first, then return to complete steps 5 and 6. 5. Click Status to verify the firmware has been upgraded. 6. Configure your access point using your custom settings. 7. Uninstall any previous configuration utilities. Install the USR5450_utility_153b7.exe utility. 8. Locate your access point. Launch the Configuration Utility. Double-click the Access Point in the Available AP list. Log in.
