I can't connect to the Web User Interface of the Wireless MAXg Access Point.

Possible Solution:

Make sure all the Ethernet cables are properly and securely connected and that the power cord is plugged in.

Possible Solution:

Make sure that the Wireless MAXg Access Point has been assigned an IP address. Follow the steps in Troubleshooting Ping Procedure. The Wireless MAXg Access Point must be properly connected to a networking device, preferably a router. Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) must be enabled on the network for an IP address to be assigned to the Wireless MAXg Access Point. If you can successfully ping the Wireless MAXg Access Point, follow the next Possible Solution to check your browser settings.

Possible Solution:

Verify the connection settings of your Web browser and ensure that the HTTP Proxy feature of your Web browser is disabled. This is necessary for the Web browser to read your Wireless MAXg Access Point's configuration pages. Start your Web browser.

Internet Explorer users:

  1. Click Tools, Internet Options, and then the Connections tab.
  2. Select Never dial a connection, click Apply, and then click OK.
  3. Click Tools again and then click Internet Options.
  4. Click the Connections tab and then click the LAN Settings button.
  5. Clear all the checkboxes and click OK.
  6. Click OK to close the Internet Options screen.

Netscape Navigator users:

  1. Click Edit, Preferences, and then double-click Advanced in the Category window.
  2. Click Proxies, select Direct connection to the Internet, and then click OK.
  3. Click Edit again and then click Preferences.
  4. Under Category, double-click Advanced, and then click Proxies.
  5. Select Direct connection to the Internet and click OK.
