Access Control

Access Control lets you permit or deny specific WAN services to a specific computer. It works in conjunction with Schedule Rule, so that the access control rules are enforced only during the timeframes assigned to them. The default is to allow access to all WAN services by all computers.

You can also deny LAN access to any computer. For details, see MAC Filter.

  1. Click Add PC.
  2. The router displays the Access Control Add PC page.

  3. To enable the access control settings, click Enable.
  4. Type a name for the computer.
  5. Complete the computer's IP address.
  6. Select the appropriate settings for PC services.
  7. Note that the Clear button applies only to the Port Range entries. To clear the port ranges and start over, click the Clear button.

  8. Select the schedule rule that you want to apply to the access control settings.
  9. Click OK.
  10. The router re-displays the Access Control page.

  11. Repeat steps 1—7 for each computer whose access you want to limit.
  12. Click Save Settings.
