WPA/WPA2

WPA's use of keys is similar to WEP: encryption security is used for every data transmission, and a combination of keys is used to provide access control to a network. With WPA, however, the key is used only once, to start the process, and is a 256-bit key. Once communication is established, the key is changed regularly to a random variation of the original key, providing a higher level of security.

The wireless router supports TKIP+AES for both WPA and WPA2, and AES for WPA2. USRobotics recommends that you use the most secure mechanism available on your Wireless Router.

If you use WPA/WPA2 to protect your wireless network, you must set the same parameters on each wireless client that you set on the Wireless Router.

  1. Set the following parameters:
  2. Click Save Settings.
