Uninstallation

Note: These instructions only apply to this USRobotics modem. If the modem you'll be uninstalling was made by another manufacturer or is an another USRobotics modem, refer to that modem's documentation for instructions.

Follow the uninstallation instructions for your operating system:

 

Windows Vista

  1. Click Windows Start > Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features.
  2. Select , then click Uninstall.
  3. If prompted, click Continue.
  4. When the computer completes the uninstallation, turn off the computer and physically remove the modem from the computer.

Warning: To avoid the risk of electric shock, make sure your computer and all peripheral devices are turned off and unplugged.

Windows XP

  1. Click Windows Start > Control Panel and double-click System.
  2. Click the Hardware tab and click the Device Manager button.
  3. Double-click to expand Modems.
  4. Right-click and select Uninstall. To confirm the removal of the device from your system, click OK.
  5. When the computer completes the uninstallation, turn off the computer and physically remove the modem from the computer.

Warning: To avoid the risk of electric shock, make sure your computer and all peripheral devices are turned off and unplugged.

Windows 2000

  1. Click Windows Start > Settings > Control Panel and double-click System.
  2. Click the Hardware tab and click the Device Manager button.
  3. Double-click to expand Modems.
  4. Right-click and select Uninstall. To confirm the removal of the device from your system, click OK.
  5. When the computer completes the uninstallation, turn off the computer and physically remove the modem from the computer.

Windows Me, 98, 95 and Windows NT

  1. Click Windows Start > Settings > Control Panel.
  2. Double-click Modems.
  3. Select and click Remove.
  4. If prompted, click Yes to confirm that you want to remove the modem.
  5. Close any open windows.
  6. When the computer completes the uninstallation, turn off the computer and physically remove the modem from the computer.
