Dial-Up Network WAN Setup
- LAN IP Address—the router's IP address. The default address is 192.168.123.254.
Although not recommended, you can change the router's IP address to fit your needs.
If you do, write down the new address. If you forget the new address,
you will have to reset the router in order to use the Web User Interface,
and you will lose all your configuration settings.
- WAN Type—the type of connection between your router and your ISP.
- Dial-up Telephone—the telephone number that you use to connect with your ISP. Enter only numbers: do not format the number with hyphens.
- Dial-up Account and Password—the account and password that your ISP assigned to you. For security, the password appears blank.
- Maximum Idle Time—the length of time that your connection can be idle before the router automatically disconnects your dial-up session.
To disable this feature, set the time to 0 (zero) or enable Auto-reconnect.
- Baud Rate—the communication speed between the router and your modem or ISDN TA.
The following options appear only after you click More on the initial dial-up Primary Setup screen:
- Primary DNS, Secondary DNS, and Assigned IP Address—values provided by your ISP.
- Extra Settings—modem initialisation string, if required. Refer to your modem's documentation to determine whether you need to enter this value.
