You can use the LAN menu to assign the LAN IP address and control DHCP and IP Information. You can dynamically allocate IP addresses to your
client computers, or configure filtering functions based on specific clients or protocols. The Wireless ADSL2+ Router must have an IP address for the
local network.
LAN IP
IP Address: The IP address of the Wireless ADSL2+ Router.
IP Subnet Mask: The subnet mask of the network.
DHCP Server: The Wireless ADSL2+ Router comes with the DHCP function. Enable this function to dynamically assign IP addresses to client computers.
DHCP Server
DHCP Server ID: Specify the DHCP Server ID. You only need to enter the DHCP server information if you enable the DHCP server of the router in as described in the previous section.
Lease Time: Set the IP lease time. For home networks this may be set to Forever, which means there is no time limit on the IP address lease.
IP Address Pool
Start IP and End IP—The first and last addresses, respectively, in the IP address pool. If you change the pool range, make sure the first 3 octets match the gateway's network IP address, i.e., 192.168.2.xxx.
Domain Name: If your network uses a domain name, enter it here. Otherwise, leave this field blank.
Note: Remember to configure your client computers for dynamic address allocation.
