WPA

Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA) combines temporal key integrity protocol (TKIP) and 802.1x mechanisms. It provides dynamic key encryption and 802.1x authentication service.

• WPA mode: Select WPA, WPA2 or WPA/WPA2 Mixed Mode.
• Cypher suite: Select the security mechanism to use for encryption.
• Authentication: Select 802.1X or Pre-shared Key to use as the authentication method.

  802.1X: For an enterprise network with a RADIUS server.

  Pre-shared key: For a Small Office/Home Office (SOHO) network environment without an authentication server.

• Pre-shared key type: Select the key type of the pre-shared Key.
• Pre-shared Key: Enter the pre-shared key.
• Group Key Re-Keying: Select the method and value for renewing broadcast/multicast key.

To set the Pre-shared Key:

1. Select the WPA mode, Cypher suite and Authentication options for your network.
2. Do one of the following:
   • Select Passphrase for your Pre-shared key type, then enter a string of characters. The passphrase can consist of up to 32 alphanumeric characters.
   • Select Hex for your Pre-shared key type, then enter a hexadecimal string of characters. The key can consist of up to 64 digits.
3. Select your Group Key Re-keying option and set the value.
4. Click SAVE SETTINGS.
