Setup: The USB Telephone Adapter is in my home, unattended, and I am elsewhere with a mobile phone

* The telephone adapter must answer PSTN calls before it can start Call Forwarding. Even if you do not answer the Skype call, people calling you will be charged on their PSTN for calls made to your telephone number from the time your USB Telephone Adapter picks it up, until they hang up.
