How do I configure a DMZ computer on my USR8054?

The DMZ (Demilitarised Zone) Host is a computer that has all external Internet traffic on the network forwarded to it. This allows a computer to be exposed to unrestricted two-way communication.

  1. Launch your Web browser. In the location or address line, type the address of the router's Web User Interface and press Enter. The default address is 192.168.123.254

  2. When the user name and password window appears, type in admin for the user name and the password you created. Click OK to load the router's setup page. There is no default password.

  3. Note: If you have forgotten the password you created, click here for the factory default reset procedure.

  4. Click Access in the main menu.

  5. Click DMZ in the sub menu.

  6. In the DMZ section, select the Enable radio button. In the DMZ Host IP section, type the IP address of the computer you wish to place in the DMZ. Click Apply.

  7. Congratulations, you have successfully configured a DMZ computer on your USR8054.
