System Status

The Status page shows your current WAN settings, peripheral states including USB printer status, and data packet movement counts. The exact composition of this page depends on your WAN type. The Status page also has controls that are common to all WAN types and controls that are dependent on the WAN type.

Status Page Controls

Status pages for all WAN types include the following controls:

• View Log displays router log messages. This option is also available from the router's Toolbox menu.
• Clients List shows the status of each computer on the router's Local Area Network.
• Help provides additional information for using the Web User Interface.
• Refresh updates the System Status display.
• Kill Job, displayed only when a USB printer attached to the router is printing, cancels the print job.

The status page for the Dynamic WAN type includes the following additional controls, usually used when troubleshooting the router's WAN connection:

• Renew lease time
• Release IP address

The status page the for PPPoE, PPTP, L2TP, and Dial-up Network WAN types includes a Connect button, which forces the router to initiate an Internet connection.
