WEP

If you use WEP to protect your wireless network, you need to set the same parameters for the Wireless ADSL2+ Router and all your wireless clients. WEP protects data transmitted between wireless nodes but does not protect any transmissions over your wired network or over the Internet.

WEP Encryption

To automatically generate the encryption key using a Passphrase:

  1. Select Passphrase and enter a string of characters. The passphrase can consist of up to 32 alphanumeric characters.
  2. Select the Default Key ID key.
  3. Click SAVE SETTINGS.

To manually configure the encryption key:

  1. In each of the Key fields, enter one of the following:

    A hexadecimal digit is a number or letter in the range 0-9 or A-F.

  2. Click SAVE SETTINGS.
