I cannot print to a network printer attached to my gateway in Macintosh OS 9 or earlier.

Solution 1:

Internet Printing Protocol (IPP) is required to print from a Macintosh computer to a network printer attached to the gateway. IPP is not supported prior to Macintosh to OS X. Upgrade to Macintosh OS X and refer to Installing a USB Printer in a Macintosh OS X Environment.

Solution 2:

Printers attached to the product must be non-host-based and must be installed with drivers that support a Page Descriptor Language (PDL) such as PostScript or PCL. Check the website for your printer manufacturer to see if they have an available download of drivers that supports a PDL.
