Note: Skype is not a telephony replacement service. Any VoIP service used in conjunction with the USB Telephone Adapter cannot be used for calls to emergency services or emergency telephone numbers (311, 911, 112, 999, etc.). Use a landline telephone for calls to emergency services, such as police, fire, or ambulance.
If the LINE port of your USB Telephone Adapter is connected to a PSTN line, you can make emergency calls using the handset connected to the telephone adapter.
To make calls using Skype, you need to have contacts and speed-dials set up within Skype.
If you have your USB Telephone Adapter connected to a telephone line, you can place and receive regular telephone calls as you normally would.
Note: If you have customized your General settings for the USB Telephone Adapter, the key sequences for call waiting may be different.
To call Skype users, you must set up contacts and speed-dials for them within Skype. You can also set up speed-dials for SkypeOut numbers that you call frequently.
