The router's firewall features let you control the kind of traffic that is allowed to enter your network. It also lets you give or deny permission for computers in your network to access the WAN. The firewall does not significantly affect system performance, so we advise leaving it enabled to protect your network.
Select Enable and click Save Settings.
After saving the settings, the router opens the Access Control page
so that you can continue configuring your wireless security. The Firewall menu provides the following options:
Schedule Rule—Designates time spans, letting you turn access control rules on and off automatically.
Access Control—Limits the kinds of outgoing traffic allowed for each client computer.
MAC Filter—Assigns access rights for specific users.
Parental Control—Blocks access from a specified computer to Web sites based on either a full URL address or a keyword.
